IT Staff Profile: Eric Thellend

You’ve probably seen Eric running around your schools trying to fix one thing or another. Eric is one of several Technical Support Analysts whose responsibility it is to resolve tickets as they come in from all over the city. In addition to that Eric is one of our resident experts in hardware repair and is quite adept with a soldering iron and heat gun.

Eric’s time is currently split between doing all the tickets at Miller, Augustine and Vanier and doing hardware repairs on any laptops and tablets that are broken throughout the school division and we deem repairable. (Be careful with your computers!)

Eric grew up in Ontario and moved to Moose Jaw with his family when he was 11. He is in fact bilingual! He is the only person in the IT department that can speak fluent French. In his spare time Eric is an avid disc golfer and has recently gotten a hole in one here at the Regina course on a 255′ hole! Eric is also an amateur scuba diver and earned his PADI Open Water Certification in Mexico in 2018. In what little time is left after all of that he still likes to play video games and is quite an accomplished Rocket League player.
